Oh boy, oh boy, where do I start...

It was a early morning wakeup call, OtakuSummit was held at Makuhari Messe, the second largest convention center which is located in Chiba perfecture, passing Disney Land haha! It's not really that far from Tokyo when taking the express!

Me and Seibai arrived on time, even had a quick breakfast. We went to the meetup spot from where we continued to the changing rooms. Compared to the Finnish convetions changing room it was not what I had expected, there wasn't even a fullbody mirror... luckily the bathroom was near by, where I was able to put contacts and makeup... The contacts I bought in Japan and were awesome! Made my iris bigger and nice color! I haven't worn contacts for a little over a year because of the laser operation for my eyesight. Then there was also difficulties where to use hairspray, in the end that problem was solved as well though it was hard without a translator until a foreign cosplayer who spoke Japanese was able to help! Really greatful for that!

As soon as the cosplays were put on we moved to another room where we could leave our stuff and then continued to where the evening show was gonna be held to have our rehearsal. There we spent much of the time mingling, listening to music, dancing and having a bit difficulties to hear our instructions haha! After rehearsal we went back to the room and there was some time to fix makeup and then the show started, god I was nervous but really had fun! As Stella I was not sure what kind of an expression I should wear because of the little material that has been released of her. After the catwalk we were free to go. I loved the staff and the other cosplayers cause I really did have a great time with them! Wish my Japanese was better so that I would have been able to communicate better... Well with a small group we went to look around the place but pretty soon we went to change, headed somewhere to eat and then back "home"... I want to explain in more detail but it was just so great meeting so many new people... ah I wish I could just show everyone through my own eyes what happened since I'm having such a hard time to even write it down. Maybe I'll explain this again in detail in another post but it might not happen, now I just feel that I'm obligated to post something... All I can say is I love cosplayers from all around the world, no matter how far we are we will always be connected~ This experience proved that cosplay is a great community!

WC Week Alois

Whoa whoa whoa so much to do, my eyes are starting to roll up!

Yesterday I finally got R's pictures from Frostbite aka our Kuroshitsuji photoshoot! Alois was fun making, it's not perfect but I've learned from my mistakes. One thing I've noticed from the pictures is I've gained weight... like a lot! And I know that because it's been very stressfull, right now I'm craving food like hell. It's getting out of control... But that's not what my blog's about!

I've been looking through the pictures and almost edited most of the ones that I'll be posting. Actually more than this I won't write about the Alois cosplay since I've been writing about it in some WC Week posts, if you are interested just click on the label Kuroshitsuji.
This is the last WC Week in a while, I hope you guys enjoyed followind! Don't stop cause Alois photos are coming this week and maybe next week as well!

Now for something else...

JAPAN OTAKUSUMMIT2015 HERE I COME!!! Yes I'll be going to Japan in about two weeks and I'll be staying there for two weeks, the reason why I'm writing about this here is beacuse I'll be attending a convention and I'll be participating in CureCosplayCollection international cosplay catwalk! Not only I will be participating but also Seibai!

So first I was supposed to cosplay Ruiko the winter version I have once made but wanted to redo it, cause I thought "cool witch of the north, cosplayer from snowy Finland"! But then I was just not feeling into it... I had a hard time deciding but in the end I wanted to do something new and from Final Fantasy, so I ended up on Stella Nox Fleuret! Even though she's only been in verus XIII trailers and not sure if she'll even be in XV but I loved her outfit! Simple and cute and something NEW!!! Cause I was thinking about Tifa or Rinoa but everyone has seen them already tons of times...

Well I started on Friday her outfit cause it needs to be done in two weeks! Actually I started a few days earlier than that, making a quick prototype. Damned I am a bit stressed! First time I'm making a corset but it's looking great already! The skirt is also cut and some parts done, I hope I'd get it done tomorrow. And the bolero is also in pieces... The thing I'm most worried about is her rapier... since it is a simple cosplay I really need to make this prop! And the problem of how it will fit in my suitcase is still unsolved...

WC Week Tifa

Tifa WorldCosplay week will also be extended into two weeks! So next Monday there probably won't be a blog post.

The first Tifa cosplay I made was for my sister around 2009 and then the second one was for myself in 2013, both of them were Advent Children version.

My newest Tifa cosplay is from the game when she's at Don Corneo's place aka the Wall Market dress. This one I made for the cosplayball event.

I like her a lot as a character and someday I want to make her other game outfits, her original outfit and cowboy outfit. The only one I'm not interested in making is her childhood outfit.

The Advent Children version I have has not been photoshooted and the pants need to be redone so I might have to redo the whole thing before there will be any pictures of it...

WC Week Miqo'te

Another Monday, a new character at WorldCosplay! Still going on with Final Fantasy and this time it is XIV with the kitty Miqo'te!

The costume was a bit of a pain to make and first time wearing such a exposing cosplay! But at that time I think I was pretty comfortable with my body . The only thing I didn't like was my wig which was not the one I had planned to wear but that's what I had to roll with.

Cosvision was where I wore it and the convention was such a blast that I haven't felt in a long time! You can read about that in the other Miqo'te post.

Since this weekend is Frostbite, Miqo'te week might extend to two weeks instead of one. There will still probably be a blogpost on Monday about the convention!

WC Week Rinoa

Now the Final Fantasy girls are coming up, I've actually done Sephiroth, Cloud, Aerith and Tifa was it in 2009 maybe but I won't be showing any of those pictures! They were one of the first cosplays I made.

I like Rinoa a lot and I'm redoing her outfit. I could get that quite quickly done but photoshooting it in the middle of winter doesn't sound like it would look good. And I really do hope I could lose some weight and look better in it!

And at last year cosplay ball I had made her ballroom dress! I also had it on at a Distant Worlds Final Fantasy concert and meeting Nobuo Uematsu and Arnie Roth! That was awesome!!!

WC Week Ruiko

This week on WorldCosplay, Zone-00 continues with the witch of the North, Ruiko!

It was a cozy cosplay in winter, that I really liked! The cape was pretty heavy... I've actually thrown it away because I never used it again but now I really regret it... So I might make it again but then again the character is a little girl and that doesn't really fit me... Soon it's been two years since I made this cosplay for Frostbite 2013, how time flies!

Well Frostbite 2015 is coming fast... ARGH I just remembered that I forgot to buy the buttons for the vest... But the jacket is almost done!!!

WC Week Bishamon

Tomorrow on WorldCosplay, I'll start posting pictures of my Bishamon cosplay from Zone-00!
In this blog there are links to older blogposts but I suggest to read this one before reading the older ones.

It was a disaster hahaha, I don't remember much when I was sewing it but I do remember making the shoes and the pearls on the glasses. But the disaster was at the convention, it was the first time I was binding my chest with sports tape and that was a big mistake... My skin didn't like it all and it left pretty ugly scars and it took a while to heal as well. But I did have fun with our group Benio cosplayer, sadly our Benten was cosplaying the next day when I had to leave.

Now a bit of Frostbite progress... Alois pants are done, as well as Ciel's. My vest only needs buttons and the stripes, so the biggest parts that need to be done are the jacket and shoes. But I'm happy with the progress so far. My friend Ciel is also starting to look good!

WC Week Ventus

More like Ventus Keyblade Armor from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

I've also made his normal outfit back in 2010 but sadly no good pictures, this is one that I have to remake! I love him as much as I love Roxas! So it goes without saying that I'd cosplay him. Aqua is also one that I'd like to make but my height suits better for Ven...

Back to the armor, it was something I planned for a long time, checking out the armor pieces throughtly, figuring out how it worked. It took also a while making it and after this cosplay I haven't made many cosplays cause I felt like I got a burn out from it. But I am pretty proud of it, the proportion was very good, the coloring could have been better but I rushed it for a competition.

I'm back! WC Week Riku

Finally back home and it feels like I'm more exausted than energized...
The cosplayball went well! Got some pictures taken and had fun goofing around mostly around the photostudio as Tifa Lockheart!

 And as for WorldCosplay, Riku from Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance version! Boy this one has lots to tell but has already been told aka click on the label Riku and you'll find all the old blog posts that I've written, in which you'll find lots of yummy pictures~, but I'll sum it up in this post just in case... I made it for a competition and it's one of the cosplays that I feel pretty good about but it doesn't really suit me, I knew it wouldn't but I just wanted to make it so badly! Later that year the awesome Xen took some awsome pictures! Which I believe are the best pictures ever taken on any of my cosplays!

And tomorrow I need to hurry up with my other cosplays for Desucon Frostbite! I ordered some new wigs and hope that they'll arrive in time...

WC Week Roxas

Now starts the Kingdom Hearts boom!

Roxas from Kingdom Hearts 2!!! One of my first and favorite cosplay characters!!! I just love him! Ofcourse the outfit that I'm posting pictures of is not the first version that I made in 2008, well the only thing that I renewed was the wig and his jacket, his black shirt and trousers are the first ones that I made with the help of my sister and mom in 2008!!! That's a long time ago! And he is still a very dear character to me! These pictures were taken at Frostbite 2012 but I'm not sure when I redid the jacket...

I've also made the organization coat but it was not that good looking and the pictures were also pretty bad, you never know if I'll renew it someday. We were supposed to do a big group but no one is active so that's too bad...

I've also made a Halloween version that looks a lot like Sora's Halloween version and also a Christmas version. The Xmas version was done in 2011 and some pictures can be seen here in this blog post.

WC Week Luka Megurine

Another late one... guess I'm bad at keeping my shedule right, actually it's been pretty busy and almost forgot to post the pictures! So today I'm posting two pictures on World Cosplay.

So this week was Luka Megurine, a vocaloid! Two different versions: Just be Friends and KISS!

 
Just be Friends was a difficult photoshoot since we didn't have a photographer, we took photos of each other and put the camera on timer, it was a challenge hahaha! The dress I didn't make myself, it was simply an old one in the closet that I had used once or twice. What I regret in this photoshoot is that my wig should have been combed better but what's done is done. My sister also helped to take a few pictures, but just a couple... She doesn't really like to take pictures... I did write a short blog, read it here.

As for KISS version, it was something I had wanted to make for a long time but in the end was poorly executed by me, maybe one day I'll try again. Actually I would like to make a cosplay video of the song but I don't know about the kiss part hahaha! You can find the Gakupo cosplayer on World Cosplay as well, and also blogged about this here. Lots of links this time but don't worry there is not much to read just a few pictures that might be interesting to look at.

WC Week Ieyasu

A very VERY late post! Sorry guys, I guess I've been busy so now that it's finally weekend....
you'll see Ieyasu Tokugawa from Sengoku (Basara) Gakuen!

We had this large group at Tracon 2011 and was one of my favorite times I've had while cosplaying! A long time being overweight this was a time that I had gone down in weight and was pretty happy thou it was a bit embarrasing with my stomach showing but also a time that I was not ashamed to show it! Which was a great feeling of relief! Of course over the years it's been jumping up and down my weight problems but not near the heaviest point that I've been, it is still a struggle but slowly I am starting to accept and like my own body...

Kuroshitsuji and WorldCosplay

Fabric has finally arrived! Took about three weeks, but still this is not all the fabric that me and my friend need for our Kuroshitsuji cosplays but for example the color black is almost always in stock so that's something that I didn't order... Also the lenses for Ciel has arrived! She has never worn contacts before so tommorrow I'll try to show her or more like give her some tips. Nows a good time to mention that I won't be wearing contacts, no my eyes are not blue like Alois but I'm not allowed to wear contacts...yet! Was it in february I went through eye laser surgery so I'm not allowed to wear contacts for a year, I think, but hey hurray for no more eyeglasses!!!

OH! Now is a good time to keep your eyes open on my WorldCosplay profile! I've removed the old photos and edited them so every week I'll upload a new character!

Last week was Midna from the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, this was done in 2010 for an event called Bakacon, the bodysuit was bought and with the help of a friend we painted it three days before the con! I remember the stress that time hahaha, the head piece took a little longer getting the size right and finding good reference pictures about the details, but it was the head piece that got me doing Midna cause it was a challenge for me at that time.

This week I'll be posting Ciel Phantomhive that I did for a PC-meeting 2011ish? This one was also done rather quickly since the shirt just needed the frills added and the trousers were cut to shorts. As for the vest, made it for another cosplay which was never finished, glad had some use for it!
A friend of mine cosplayed Sebastian but sadly I don't look good in any of those pictures or it's more like the wig was uncut so it was too long in the front and just doesn't look good in the photos!!! Sorry Sebastian it has nothing to do with you, you are handsome hahaha but I must say I'm embarrassed that he has posted some of them, one today... Oh well if he thinks it looks good then I'll let it slip by...
