I actually I had fun this time! It wasn't the usual boring con! I'm starting to wonder, is it because it was such a small con? Or was I just hanging with the right group at the right time?

I've got many friends and so I split them into groups like for exaple the Hetalia friend, which I don't really even hang out with anymore :P

So thank you for the company: Chiruka, Sona and Seibai whom I think I hanged out most with, but I want to thank also all my old and new friends for the great con!

So yes, I was competeing in the cosplay competition and two other friends too, Seibai and Thalion. I was so scared entering alone so I was really excited when I was able to convince Thalion to enter the competition too!
That morning when I put my whole costume on I was soooo dissapointed! It just looked horrible not only that but I was also almost late for advance registration(? Finnish: ennakkoilmoittautuminen) at the con but luckily I made it after running like hell!

And guess what? I got mark/medal of honor for the prop! I was sooo sure that I wouldn't win anything so it was a really awesome suprise! My first competition and my first medal! Now my friends will have a higher expectetion from me xDD I do believe that I only got the prize because I was pertty much the only one with an advanced prop :P

Here is what I got! A medal, a bag, some weird yan yan (is not in the pic for some odd reason xD), a pin which is saying in Finnish "Call me sensei" xD,Naruto training cards...and that's about it the pappers are my competeing number and then a papper saying that I've been competeing which everybody got :3

 

 

Oh and also here is the bag I got for the Cosplay Gaala Välähdys with our LHC, it's saying in Finnish "Cosplay without pain is a sham" or this is what the google translator told me xD

Riku 3D: Wigs and other progress

The two new wigs are finally in my hands, muahahahaha... So smart of me to order two different wigs!
So here are the 3 wigs that I bought for Riku, the first one and the two new ones! Defenitly big difference with the two silver/gray ones! The purple one is a bit too dark so that one I'll have to sell if I don't come up with a character which I can use it.

So this silver white wig is the chosen one for Riku!!! Shots from the side and back of the wig!
I expected it to be shorter at the back, so this means more work for me PLUS the have added some kind of gel which has a REEEEEAAAALLY manly smell :''DD So I'll have to wash it :P

Then the keyblade progress...
I don't know, I'm not satisfied with it, down you can see pictures of the progress the keyblade, apperantly I had taken pictures without a memory card so I can't show the whole process :(  but what I really want to do is add clay/plaster/gypsum (in Finnish: kipsiä) to smoothen and make it more even.
The problem is that the convention is this Saturday and I have still a lot to do and no time at all so if I'd do "kipsiä" on it and it would  fail, I'd be in big trouble. So hell, it will be ugly but atleast it's done.
I'll still probably will try with "kipsiä" in the future once I have gotten some decent pictuters of it but right now I'm not taking the risk...

 

The only thing that needs to be done is paint the handle and then make the keychain part WHICH I really hope that it would go easily and fast!!! I HOPE!!!

Oh and the pants... Well almost done... And the hopefully the belt would be done easily and fast too ^^;;

Riku 3D: Jacket done!

The jacket is ready! Finally! It's not that hard when you sew it togheter but the planning and getting the size right is the real pain in the ass! I had a real problem getting the propotions right, especially with the yellow shoulder parts.
Now it's just the pants, shoes and keyblade left. Oh god that's a lot xD

I got it last Saturday, it's a disaster, so on Sunday I ordered TWO new ones just in case. What was wrong? it was too dark and shiny! Strange thing is that the more I look at it the better it gets but once I see the reference pictures I'll be like "OH HELL NO"...

 

So I ordered two this time, one silver purple and one silver white, hopefully one of them will look good. The big problem with them now is that will they make it before Chibicon? I'd also have to style them! So it might be a close call!
Today I heard from my friend Enriisse who orders them for me, said that they are on their way, but who knows how long their trip will be...

Then the keyblade is another thing which I'm worried about since I haven't even started on it yet!!!

Riku 3D: Start

I'm trying to make Riku from Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance 3D And this is how far I've gotten!

I'm making it slowly cause I'm gonna do it real properly like, zigzaging all the sides and stuff like that so even though otherwise it could be done pretty fast! But I also don't have that much time to do on it.
And why am I making it so properly? Why ofcoure I want to compete with it! So I've been looking for someone who'd cosplay Sora for two reasons, 1. To get awesome pictures 2. To have a performance on stage, but the second one depends on the other person, I won't force anybody who doesn't want to.

Oh and since I'd think it'd be lame to go compete just in this outfit, I'm also making his keyblade, the Way to the Dawn.
I've failed two times now xD first I made a base out of  sleeping pad according to google translate, and then putting plaster(? another google translate word...) but it became too heavy and kept getting broken, next I used the same base but tried to use paper with the glue + water combination, but that didn't get stiff enough...
Now my mom bought some kind of wood board that I'm gonna try to use next, the biggest problem is how am I going to cut it, especially the curvy and small places... 

This one I'm TRYING to make to Chibicon, which is in february 25, so pretty soon! I bought the ticket today :3
Notice how I always use the word "trying" that's because I'm never sure if I will finish it xD
