Yellow no good

Guess what? A new wig!!! When I ordered the wig for Rinoa I also bought another one which I eventually sold because the color was completely wrong! Shall we now compare?
First up, the yellow wig on the left side!  Not only was the color wrong, it was too short at the back and the sides, THE HORROR xDD And now for the second wig! A nice blonde wig that's not shiny and is incredibly comfortable~ I know it kinda looks orange in my picture but I guess it's the lighting... so the last picture is from the seller, just to show it better.

Love for Zone-00

My next couple of cosplays will be from Zone-00. At Desucon on Saturday we have a group of the three brothers: Bishamon, Benten and Benio/Kisshou, and I'll be Bishamon, crap I'm the shortest and have to cosplay the tallest xD But we probably all will be the same lenght since Benio's ballerina shoes will make her as tal as our Benten with her shoes on. Well what to do, actually before this group I wanted to cosplay Benten and Benio myself but my appearence keeps me from doing them even though I'm buying the materials.

So I'll be spending a lot of money since I'm buying Benio's shoes and wig + all stuff to Bishamon (and maybe Hime) cosplay, the shoes are the most expensive ones... It'll be so funny cause no-one of us will be able to walk xD And I'll be buying the material for the tattoos, I'm already trying to draw them but ARGH I hate Benten's octopus that ALWAYS looks different in every picture!!!

Our Benten cosplayer will also be cosplaying Mayoko at Desucon on Friday or/and Sunday, also a good reason for me to cosplay Hime since I bought a wig for my future Benten cosplay.
It's a bit more yellow than what I wanted but it was cheap, 18€!

Riku 3D: Wigs and other progress

The two new wigs are finally in my hands, muahahahaha... So smart of me to order two different wigs!
So here are the 3 wigs that I bought for Riku, the first one and the two new ones! Defenitly big difference with the two silver/gray ones! The purple one is a bit too dark so that one I'll have to sell if I don't come up with a character which I can use it.

So this silver white wig is the chosen one for Riku!!! Shots from the side and back of the wig!
I expected it to be shorter at the back, so this means more work for me PLUS the have added some kind of gel which has a REEEEEAAAALLY manly smell :''DD So I'll have to wash it :P

Then the keyblade progress...
I don't know, I'm not satisfied with it, down you can see pictures of the progress the keyblade, apperantly I had taken pictures without a memory card so I can't show the whole process :(  but what I really want to do is add clay/plaster/gypsum (in Finnish: kipsiä) to smoothen and make it more even.
The problem is that the convention is this Saturday and I have still a lot to do and no time at all so if I'd do "kipsiä" on it and it would  fail, I'd be in big trouble. So hell, it will be ugly but atleast it's done.
I'll still probably will try with "kipsiä" in the future once I have gotten some decent pictuters of it but right now I'm not taking the risk...

 

The only thing that needs to be done is paint the handle and then make the keychain part WHICH I really hope that it would go easily and fast!!! I HOPE!!!

Oh and the pants... Well almost done... And the hopefully the belt would be done easily and fast too ^^;;

Riku 3D: Jacket done!

The jacket is ready! Finally! It's not that hard when you sew it togheter but the planning and getting the size right is the real pain in the ass! I had a real problem getting the propotions right, especially with the yellow shoulder parts.
Now it's just the pants, shoes and keyblade left. Oh god that's a lot xD

I got it last Saturday, it's a disaster, so on Sunday I ordered TWO new ones just in case. What was wrong? it was too dark and shiny! Strange thing is that the more I look at it the better it gets but once I see the reference pictures I'll be like "OH HELL NO"...

 

So I ordered two this time, one silver purple and one silver white, hopefully one of them will look good. The big problem with them now is that will they make it before Chibicon? I'd also have to style them! So it might be a close call!
Today I heard from my friend Enriisse who orders them for me, said that they are on their way, but who knows how long their trip will be...

Then the keyblade is another thing which I'm worried about since I haven't even started on it yet!!!

Last weekend's wig arrivals

Finally I got the wigs that arrived ages ago! But a friend orders them for me and so the wigs get sended to him so I always have to wait a bit longer. But as long as I get good quality wigs, then I don't mind waiting.

The newcomers are:

The wig for Tamiya from Litchi Hikari Club, a bit shiny and noticed that I have to glue it since apparently a part is coming off as seen in the picture. I don't really want to cut the bangs shorter but I'm just going to have to do it. Otherwise it won't look like Tamiya at all!















Next is the wig for Hideyoshi from Sengoku Basara, the color isn't the best but then again his hair color differs from picture to picture.
A friend recommended me to get with clips because of Hideyoshi's little ponytail. It came with two clips so I can at least mess up once or just goof around with one!
