Frostbite: Change in plans

So first I was supposed to cosplay Hideyoshi on saturday at Desucon Frostbite, but that project is on hold for now and won't be for this convention.

So I had to come up with something new, something that looked awesome and a bit difficult with challenge...
It didn't take long to come up with one and I went shopping today for the materials!
But I'm really scared that it will fail horribly, so I'll tell you guys what it is when the hardest part is done and it has to look good too!

Here's some pictures of the material, I've kinda started on the armor, try to guess what cosplay I'm doing if you can.

 

Those scales are a real pain! I've got about over one hundred now and I'm gonna need more, lots of it...

CosplayGaala: Litchi Hikari Club

Or Lychee Light Club in English...
Yeah from this series I cosplayed last Sunday with some awesome people. Too bad the club wasn't complete but we were 5 members: Zera, Nico, Jaibo, Raizou an Tamiya.

 

And I was as Tamiya, I hated how my collar was so loose that it always fell down and otherwise it didn't look nice at all. And now when I see the photos I get a bit annoyed by my blue contact lenses. I didn't have money to buy new ones and it's better to have contacts than glasses. And with some photoshop editing it's easy to change the eye color.

 

It felt so cool when we were walking and everyone had the same looking uniform :'D

Oh and we were mostly photoshooting that day, we only went to watch the cosplay competitions at the Gaala, and it was a really disappointing event this year, which is kinda sad.

The search for fake fur

I've been keeping my eyes open at Eurokangas for a good white fake fur, and something cheap of course!
But with no luck. They don't have white but some other weird colors...

Then I stumbled one day on kangastori.com, the prices looked pretty cheap and I was about to order until I noticed that you could order a free sample! Luckily I decided to order the sample since it doesn't look at all what I thought it would, the fur is just too short!

So maybe I'll just keep having my eyes open at Eurokangas since I'm in no hurry with this cosplay anyways.
But if anyone does know a good store where I can find fake fur or on the internet the please comment!
Cause I really have no idea where to look for!

Last weekend's wig arrivals

Finally I got the wigs that arrived ages ago! But a friend orders them for me and so the wigs get sended to him so I always have to wait a bit longer. But as long as I get good quality wigs, then I don't mind waiting.

The newcomers are:

The wig for Tamiya from Litchi Hikari Club, a bit shiny and noticed that I have to glue it since apparently a part is coming off as seen in the picture. I don't really want to cut the bangs shorter but I'm just going to have to do it. Otherwise it won't look like Tamiya at all!















Next is the wig for Hideyoshi from Sengoku Basara, the color isn't the best but then again his hair color differs from picture to picture.
A friend recommended me to get with clips because of Hideyoshi's little ponytail. It came with two clips so I can at least mess up once or just goof around with one!

I already have a blog at wordpress so why have another one?

Originally that blog was supposed to be an art blog with my sketches but in the end I wrote also about my daily life and cosplay. But I had thought many times that it would be better to keep them separate, in the end with wordpress I made pages so that the reader could choose what he/she was interested in, so just a click on Cosplay page and all post that I have put in the category cosplay would show up.

This will be a much stricter blog only about my cosplays and conventions I go to.
